I am a poet living in one of the country’s great literary cities, Portland, Oregon. On this home page, I will feature a new poem every Monday and a list of upcoming events where I or some of the local poets I admire will be reading, as well as news about my own work. As a student of the traditional Japanese flute, the shakuhachi, I have recorded poems accompanied by the flute, traditional music, and the occasional original composition, which you can find on the “Audio” page.
